The 6th BIOSeedin Spring Innovation and Collaboration Summit Kicks Off in Shanghai, Scitech Pharma Showcases Cutting-Edge Applications of Its AI Drug Design Platform

On May 13, the 6th BIOSeedin Spring Innovation and Collaboration Summit was grandly held in Pudong, Shanghai. Organized by bioSeedin, the summit brought together experts, scholars, corporate representatives, and investment institutions from the global biopharmaceutical industry to engage in in-depth discussions on core topics such as innovative drug R&D, business development (BD) partnerships, and investment and financing. During the “Clinical-Stage Company Pitch” session, Scitech Pharma delivered a presentation titled “Application of the Large-Scale Drug Design and Screening Platform—SigmaHit®,” sharing with the industry the company’s latest explorations and interim achievements in the field of AI-driven drug design.

Trillion-scale compound screening platform

SigmaHit® platform is a world-first, trillion-scale compound screening platform developed independently by Scitech Pharma that is guided by three-dimensional target structures. At the summit, Qin Shaoyang, Vice President of Business Development at Scitech Pharma, highlighted the SigmaHit® platform’s powerful capabilities in large-scale compound synthesis and multidimensional, directed drug design and screening. This platform utilizes the world’s first trillion-scale compound library. Through the integrated application of a compound synthesis module, a 3D structure-based lead discovery module, and an experimental data-driven deep learning module, it has established a multidisciplinary “targeted drug screening and design” platform. This platform endows compounds with specific properties and functions (such as multi-target activity, covalent binding, blood-brain barrier penetration), significantly shortening the preclinical phase, improving efficiency, and reducing costs. Furthermore, its own pipeline development has demonstrated high drug-likeness.

Early results are emerging, and clinical research is progressing steadily

Adhering to the principle of “patient-centricity and clinical value-driven,” Scitech Pharma leverages its SigmaHit® platform to advance the development of a diversified and differentiated pipeline in the fields of oncology, autoimmune diseases, and the central nervous system. During his presentation, Vice President Qin Shaoyang highlighted the application outcomes of the SigmaHit® platform, which have already been preliminarily validated in Scitech Pharma’s clinical pipeline. ST-1898 is a multi-target tyrosine kinase inhibitor developed by Scitech Pharma based on the targeted drug design and screening capabilities of the SigmaHit® platform. Through a novel design featuring a tricyclic core structure, it effectively inhibits multiple targets closely associated with tumor initiation and progression, directly and indirectly inhibiting tumor cell growth and migration while promoting tumor cell apoptosis. Through combined effects and synergistic mechanisms, it suppresses tumor growth and metastasis. The drug is currently undergoing concurrent Phase II/III clinical trials for renal cell carcinoma, melanoma, and thyroid cancer, and has preliminarily demonstrated good safety and antitumor activity. It also holds significant therapeutic potential in solid tumors such as hepatocellular carcinoma, cholangiocarcinoma, and colorectal cancer. ST-1703 is a second-generation irreversible anti-HER2 inhibitor developed through SigmaHit® directed functional design, enabling high penetration of the blood-brain barrier. It forms highly efficient covalent bonds with the target. Phase I clinical trial results have yielded favorable efficacy and safety data, and Phase II/III studies targeting additional relevant targets will be initiated next.

Empowering the Industry: Driving the Future of New Drugs with AI

At the summit, many attendees expressed keen interest in Scitech Pharma’s SigmaHit® platform. Participants generally agreed that AI-driven, large-scale drug design technologies are becoming a key driver for the differentiated development of innovative drugs. Scitech Pharma stated that it will fully leverage the resource advantages of the SigmaHit® platform to actively pursue broader R&D collaborations with industry partners, jointly advancing new drug development and providing better treatment options for patients worldwide.
